CaddyBytes 🏆 2026 BMW Championship Final Round Highlights: Wyndham Clark survived a tense Sunday and finished with three consecutive birdies to win the 2026 BMW Championship at Bellerive Country Club. Clark closed with an even-par 70 for a 17-under total of 263, defeating Patrick Cantlay by three strokes and completing a wire-to-wire victory after opening the week with back-to-back 64s.

The five-stroke lead Clark carried into the final round became far less comfortable once play began. Rory McIlroy birdied the opening hole, Cantlay continued to apply pressure, and Clark moved to 3-over for the day as the pursuit tightened behind him. The leader who had controlled Bellerive for three rounds suddenly had to stop the slide and close the tournament rather than simply protect his advantage.

Clark answered at exactly the right time. Birdies at the 16th and 17th restored his separation, and one more at the 18th completed a birdie-birdie-birdie finish. His final-round 70 was the highest score on his card all week, but the closing stretch supplied the championship response: three pressure putts, three birdies and a three-shot victory.

Cantlay remained Clark's closest challenger and birdied the last to complete a 2-under 68, securing second place alone at 14-under. McIlroy, playing alongside Clark in the final pairing, followed his opening birdie with a 69 and finished third at 13-under. Both contenders forced Clark to keep working deep into the back nine, but neither could match the champion's closing run.

Chris Gotterup, Collin Morikawa and Gary Woodland shared fourth at 12-under. Robert MacIntyre produced the best final round among the leading finishers with a 65, joining Maverick McNealy in a tie for seventh at 10-under. Jacob Bridgeman placed ninth at 9-under, while Michael Brennan and Sungjae Im completed the Top 10 at 8-under. The closing leaderboard determined more than the trophy, with every position carrying added importance in the final race for places in the TOUR Championship at East Lake.
